We're Not Saying Turmeric Helps Prevent Cancer...But Studies Might Be!

Although it may be a bit too early to say, but animal and lab studies have shown Turmeric Extract to be extremely promising in the fight against cancer!

One of the most frightening words in the English dictionary may be “cancer”. This six-letter word is used to describe a horrific disease that is characterized by the uncontrollable growth of cells that can eventually turn fatal.

Researchers have found that Turmeric can change the way cancer cells grow, develop, and spread at the molecular level.

Turmeric's Cancer Prevention Properties

Curcumin has demonstrated it has the ability to reduce Angiogenesis a process in which new blood vessels grow from pre-existing vessels into tumors providing tumors the necessary blood supply they require to grow.

Turmeric Extract also helps lessen Metastasis, the spread of cancer from one part of the body to another.  Metastasis occurs when cancer cells break away from their tumors and travel to other areas of the body utilizing the bloodstream or lymph vessels. The mobility of these cancerous cells provides the opportunity they need to spread to organs and tissues throughout the body.

Numerous laboratory studies on cancer cells have suggested that Curcumin in Turmeric have Anticancer effects displaying the capability to not only kill cancer cells but also prevent more from growing.

It is important to point out that the majority of these studies were conducted using high dosages of Curcumin, a more potent extract of Turmeric (standardized to 95% Curcuminoids) that is believed to be the active ingredient responsible for these benefits, and not just regular Turmeric Root.
